Branch
Elections – New Executive
Legion Branch 616 elections were held on May 15, and the
term for the new Executive starts on June 1.
I wish to thank the previous executive, and a big shout
out to our great volunteers, staff and Ladies Auxiliary
for the excellent work over the past year. Also, all the
best to the incoming executive committee in the coming
year. A huge amount of gratitude is extended to outgoing
President, George Dolan, who has been at the helm for 6
years and made significant contributions to our Branch,
especially through the COVID period of the past few
years. George, I’m sure, will continue to be a fixture
at the Legion and will sit on the executive as Immediate
Past President. There is a solid foundation to build on
through the efforts of all the people in our Branch who
have worked for the benefit of our veterans, promotion
of remembrance, our comrades, and our part in this
community.
